The app “Cardy” respects users’ privacy and handles personal information appropriately.
This app allows users to select videos stored on their device for editing.
Selected videos are copied into the app’s project workspace and used for editing purposes.
These video files are processed only on the user’s device and are not transmitted to or stored on any external servers.
Camera, Microphone, and Face Blur
Cardy requests access to your camera and microphone when you open the in-app camera. These permissions are used to record video and accompanying audio for your editing projects.
When face blur is enabled, Cardy uses Apple’s Vision framework to detect faces and apply a blur effect after recording. This processing takes place entirely on your device. Cardy does not upload the recordings or face detection results to external servers, and does not use face detection to identify individuals.
Face blur may not detect every face or fully obscure identifying features. Please review the processed video before sharing it.
Storage and Deletion
Cardy stores the original, unblurred recording and processed versions in the app’s local project storage. The original recording is retained to support reprocessing and changes to the video’s aspect ratio.
When you delete a project, its associated recordings are deleted from the app’s storage unless they are still referenced by another project. Copies you have exported or shared outside Cardy are not deleted when you delete the project.
Permission Controls
You can revoke camera and microphone access at any time in your device’s Settings app. Both permissions are currently required to record video using Cardy’s in-app camera. Denying these permissions does not prevent you from editing videos you have already imported.
This app does not transmit or collect edited or exported videos to any external servers.
All video editing and exporting processes are performed locally on the user’s device.
